WHAT TO WEAR.

  • tops.

Tops with graphics, words, names/monograms, don’t work out best because it may get cut off or words can be only partially shown depending on the way the child is sitting/moving.

These are very high quality images which means you will see lint, pilling, pet hair, stains, drool, etc. You may want to change your child into the hot right before photos, or ask for my lint roller prior.

Dark tops can look harsh, I typically avoid black because it is such a stark contrast. Remember it is going to be in black and white anyway. (please see my photos for reference of what you like)

Try to avoid white/creams, as the backdrop is white and can create a floating head.

Patterns or solids work well. i’ve done a lot of gingham, polka dots, and stripes!

*Personally, I love anything textured for a top. Heathered items typically do well also as they hide imperfections. Denim, or denim layered over a solid looks amazing, overalls, waffled or linen adds more dimension to the photos.

  • something special.

You are welcome to bring birthday hats, crowns, big brother/sister hats.

If you have another special item feel free to contact me & I will let you know if we can make it work.

  • bows/hats.

Bows/Headbands always look adorable, but please avoid light colors like white/creams/light pink as they can blend into the white background.

For lighter hair, I recommend a dark bow, and dark hair a lighter bow (grey, beige, greens)

Love a good hat! We can always do some with & without it (we will do the hat last if you want both to avoid hat head).
